Garden cottage provides an ideal holiday base for families and smaller groups. Overlooking a valley within the grounds, but some 10 minutes walk from the Main Hall, Garden Cottage affords visitors total privacy.
Garden cottage is a delightful Arts and Crafts property in an elevated position, surrounded by mature woodland. This charming cottage has been converted sympathetically from two old gardeners’ cottages and still retains many of the period features of the original property.
The accommodation is of a basic standard but is spacious and can sleep up to 12 people in six bedrooms, two of which are en-suite. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher for those who want to cook… and for those that don’t, of course, you can enjoy the fabulous meals at our Courtyard Café.
Accommodation is on two levels. Downstairs accommodation consists of an en-suite twin bedroom and a toilet with washbasin. Upstairs the accommodation is split into two sections, each of which has its own staircase. On one half of the upstairs rooms, there is a twin bedded room, shower room and toilet, and an en-suite room with a double and single bed. On the other side, there is a twin bedded room, single room, room with a single bed and bunk, all with a shared bathroom and separate shower room and toilet. Bedlinen and towels are provided and a cot and high chair available if required. The cottage is equipped with a DVD player, video recorder, CD player, free-sat SMART TV, and hairdryer. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COTTAGE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR GUESTS WHO REQUIRE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS.
In addition, there is parking for three cars on the hard-standing area to the side of the cottage, with an outside shed for bicycle storage. A small charcoal barbecue is also supplied. Dogs are of course welcome but should be kept out of bedrooms.
Kennels are also available on-site.
With access to the stunning grounds of Gregynog Hall, visitors to Garden Cottage will enjoy a unique and unforgettable visitor experience. There is no mobile phone signal but there is a BT Hub for internet access in this remote location – although there is an internal phone link to the hall’s Reception or Duty Manager.
